SortsPrivacy Policy

Sorts has no account, no sign-in and no server. Sidestreet Software, who make Sorts, do not receive your screenshots, their text or your tags. Sorts has no analytics, no ads and no tracking of its own. The only usage data we see is what Apple passes on: crash reports, and only if you allow sharing with developers in iOS Settings.
What stays on your iPhone
Your screenshots stay in Photos. Sorts keeps only a small preview of each one (about 50 KB, enough to recognise it after the original is deleted) in its own storage, never in your gallery. Previews are included in your iPhone's backup if you use one, like the rest of the app's data. Their text is read on your iPhone by Apple's Vision framework, and suggestions come from Apple's on-device models. The titles, tags and choices you make are stored in the app on your iPhone. Pictures you share into Sorts from other apps are kept in the app until you clear them. The reminder to sort, if you turn it on, is a notification your iPhone schedules itself; it is not sent from anywhere.
What leaves, and only where you send it
Reminders, calendar events and Photos albums are written to Apple's own apps on your iPhone, and sync the way you have those apps set up.
If you connect Mem AI, a kept screenshot with a tag you mapped sends its title, text and tags to your Mem account, using the key you entered.
If you add a webhook, a kept screenshot with its tag sends its title, text, tags, dates and, unless you turned it off, the picture to the address you entered. If you later change its title or tags, or remove it, the webhook is told that too. That server is yours or someone you chose; Sorts does not see what it does with them.
If you use Email to me, Mail sends the screenshot from your own account to the address you chose. Sorts only fills in the message.
When a screenshot gets a place tag, Sorts asks Apple Maps where it is, sending its title or an address found in its text. Searching for a place yourself sends the words you type.
Keys and tokens
Your Mem key and webhook tokens are kept in the iPhone's Keychain and sent only to the service they belong to.
Purchases
If Sorts offers an in-app purchase, Apple handles it. Sidestreet Software never sees your payment details or who you are.
Feedback
If you send feedback, we receive the email you write, the address you send it from, and the lines Sorts adds under it: the app version, the iOS version and the iPhone model. We use it to answer you and to improve Sorts, and do not share it.
This website
getsorts.com has no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. It is served by Cloudflare, which keeps the standard request logs any web host keeps.
Deleting your data
Deleting Sorts deletes everything it stored, previews included. Your screenshots stay in Photos, and anything you sent to Mem, a webhook, Reminders or Calendar stays there.
Children
Sorts is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be here and in the app, with a new date at the top.
